Hey! I’m Caitlin.
First of all, I want to say thanks for stopping by! This is a new adventure for me and I’m so happy I get to share part of my life with you.
I am from southwest VA where I live with my amazing family. My husband Andrew, who is in the picture with me, and my two crazy wild boys, Tucker (6) and Hunter (4). Then of course there are our two dogs Ringo (old grumpy weiner dog) and Ranger (1 year old double doodle… he is half golden doodle and half labradoodle). Gah I love those little fur balls.
I knew I always wanted to be a mom, but wow, I did not expect the amount of energy that would come from two boys. They definitely know how to keep me on my toes and I am always learning something new from them and I love sharing those new ideas, even if I’m the last one to find out about them.
For my career, I am an Instructional Technology Resource Teacher (ITRT). So what that means… is that I am a resource teacher that gets to help other teachers with anything that deals with instructional technology. It really is my dream job, I still get to work in classrooms and teach but I also get to share my love of technology with kids and adults. I was lucky enough to get this position after teaching middle school for 6 years in a beautiful rural school, but I have to say, there are still days that I question what I want to be when I grow up (not that I’m 34 or anything…).
But really, who am I? I am just an average mom, who feels like she is running on threads some days. I am always looking for ways to make my kids happy and keep them busy. I grew up with horses, I love animals and I have a major obsession with dogs. But at the end of the day I love to snuggle up with a good book because I have learned I almost never get the TV between the kids and my husband playing video games. I just wanted to share some of the things I have learned over the years with someone who will appreciate them and make some connections to similar people. I hope that is you!
It is kinda funny that I am starting a blog though, even with my love of technology, I am one of those people that deleted their Facebook about 10 years ago. So I guess I’m going to dive back into the social media world, I guess the first place I will start will be on Instagram.
